“Thank Dogs for Doggy Style” Fundraising Campaign for National Pet Month
RedTube Launches “Thank Dogs for Doggy Style” Fundraising Campaign for National Pet Month. Funds to Benefit Dallas-based Non-Profit Dedicated to Save the Lives of Dogs

In honor of National Pet Month, RedTube, a leading free, online adult entertainment site, today pledged to help homeless dogs with the launch of its “Thank Dogs for Doggy Style” campaign, for which it will donate 1 cent for every thousand videos viewed on the site from May 31st to June 30th. All proceeds will go to DPA, a North Texas based non-profit organization dedicated to saving the lives of dogs in need by promoting and providing the resources, education and programs needed to eliminate the killing of companion animals.

To help us save and give thanks to the real pioneers of ‘Doggy Style’, arguably one of the best sex positions, and perhaps the reason many of us exist today, we’re launching of our ‘Thank Dogs for Doggy Style’ campaign,’” said Alex Taylor, VP of RedTube. “Through the campaign – and the great ongoing work by our campaign partner -- we will create awareness of and provide resources for programs needed to eliminate the killing of companion animals. To participate, take a page out of our four-legged friend’s playbook and ‘stay’ and enjoy the videos and ‘rollover’ when done – all for a good cause.”

RedTube, which receives more than 20 million visits to its site each day, anticipates raising thousands of dollars through the campaign.

We’re thrilled to be partnering with RedTube to raise awareness and bring resources to those saving companion animals in the Northern Texas area,” said Carla Eboli, Head of the DPA’s Communications Committee. “When you adopt a pet from a shelter or other rescue organization, you’re giving that animal a second chance – and saving a life. I encourage everybody to please visit RedTube as often as possible during the campaign to help us raise as much as possible.”

The organization, which is based out of Dallas, Texas, is run entirely by volunteers and all of its pets are housed by dedicated foster families throughout North Texas. They focus on helping the healthy and treatable pets, which are at risk of euthanasia at Dallas Animal Services, by rescuing the pets at greatest risk and providing support to owners who are having problems that need to surrender their pet(s) to a shelter.

On average 2.7 million animals are euthanized in the nation’s shelters each year according to the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA).
